Copeland Cross Dock Associate in El Paso, Texas

POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Lock trailer with dock door locks before loading or unloading

  • Unload and load raw material and finished goods from carriers trailers

  • Inspect all goods for damages or skid/box discrepancy and make notations on BOLs

  • Identify and segregate damaged material

  • Sort and consolidate raw material and finish goods by branch plant

  • Verify that purchase order number, item number and physical quantity match information declare in suppliers packing slip.

  • Report any discrepancy to area’s clerk or lead

  • Use handheld scanner to receive all goods and stamp master labels as received

  • Assure all material transactions are completed accurately in JDE system

  • Shrink warp and weight material’s skids

  • Perform Trade compliance’s 19 - points inspection before loading raw material

  • Assist in Generating “Imports Date Excel” report and send it to the Juarez customs department

  • Assist in Generating SCO tenders and custom’s packing slip when required

  • Assist receiving MRO Material on System

  • Maintain a clean and organized area as well follow all safety rules and procedures

  • Other duties as assigned

SPECIFIC TYPES OF KNOWLEDGE SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:

1 minimum year warehouse receiving experience

  • Handheld scanner experience

  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and procedures

  • 1 year or more of forklift stand up driving experience and have current Forklift Certification

  • Intermediate Computer skills in excel, word, power point, carrier tracking

  • Experience inventory management and record keeping skills

  • Flexible with working hours

  • Bilingual English and Spanish (Desirable)

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Follow all safety rules and procedures

  • Handle day-to-day receiving material

  • Assure all material is received to proper branch plant

  • Make all necessary JDE transactions accurately

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

Employee will be exposed to moderate noise level. Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold. High forklift traffic.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

Employee must be able to stand for extended periods of time, sit, walk, kneel, bend, carry up to 50 lbs. boxes. Lift boxes 50% of the time or more.
