Robert Half SEC Reporting Manager in Fort Worth, Texas

Description

We are on the search for a dedicated and meticulous SEC Compliance Manager to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing SEC filings, performing technical accounting research, reviewing contracts for accounting implications, and liaising with external auditors. Responsibilities:

• Ensure completeness and accuracy of all financial information for timely internal and external financial reporting

• Manage all aspects of SEC reporting, including data gathering, discussing comments on filing documents, and reviewing XBRL tagging

• Evaluate existing financial information systems to identify processing efficiencies and improve the quality of information provided

• Maintain a strong working knowledge of relevant SEC rules, regulations, and U.S. GAAP guidance

• Identify opportunities to automate SEC and tax information generation to reduce reliance on Excel and manual spreadsheets

• Research accounting/reporting issues and develop support for selected accounting treatments

• Monitor, assess, and implement new accounting pronouncements applicable to the company and transactions

• Ensure processes associated with the pulling and presentation of information are well documented and meet the minimum requirements of SOX 404

• Manage contributors to the SEC filing process and quarterly earnings releases

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements for routine SEC filings

• Support ad hoc requests as required.

Requirements

• Must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in SEC Reporting

• Proficiency in SEC Reporting is mandatory.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required.

• Strong understanding of SEC regulations and compliance standards.

• Exceptional skills in risk assessment and conflict management.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.

• Proficiency in using financial software and databases.

• Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task effectively.

• Familiarity with financial industry's laws and procedures is preferred.
