ORIX USA, LP Senior Associate, Equity Investment Management in New York, New York

Location: 280 Park Ave. 40 W., NY, NY 10017. Duties: Engage in credit investments in both public and private transactions across a variety of sectors and transaction structures. Support the evaluation, structuring, negotiation, and financing of transactions for the ORIX Special Opportunities Group. Perform credit investment research, financial analysis valuation and modeling via excel, industry and competitive analysis, business diligence. Analyze various businesses including asset-level information, budgets, business plans and asset financial models in order to determine the investment highlights, growth drivers, risks, mitigants, and other key considerations. Extract and utilize data from sources including Bloomberg Professional, S&P Capital IQ, and governmental sources to enhance the integrity of diligence. Coordinate diligence efforts with various parties including expert network, legal counsel, and financial advisors throughout investment processes. Communicate the findings of diligence and investment recommendations with senior members of the firm via structured reports and relaying material including investment proposals and investment approval memoranda. Help monitor and support strategic planning of portfolio investments, and confer with senior members of the firm and portfolio company senior management on strategic developments. Provide portfolio management including ongoing monitoring for compliance and analyzing key performance and industry indicators. Maintain an active channel of communication with external co-investors and keep co-investors abreast of portfolio companies’ financial performances and strategic developments. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field. Two years of investment experience, including credit analysis/underwriting and creating financial models to support financing of management buy-outs, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic or private equity related capital activities.
